EXPLORING GREECE: PETRA, LESVOS TRAVEL DIARY REVIEW

Well I can tell you one thing, you can't cure holiday blues by spending the following week blogging about how incredible your trip was that's for sure! As you know I headed off to Greece at the end of May to spend a week in the sun with my bestie, we wanted nothing but sand, sangria and sea... And boy did we get it!

It's definitely a sign that you're getting older when you walk into a travel agents and say "we don't want clubs, we just want to enjoy a nice relaxing holiday with amazing food" (insert cheeky monkey emoji here) and that's exactly what we got with the quaint little island of Lesvos, Greece. Staying at the Blue Sky Hotel in Petra, we couldn't of asked for anything more. From the super friendly staff including the owner Andonis who knew every single guests name, to the perfect location just a few steps from the beach front which, in 27 degree heat you were thankful for the slight sea breeze you could feel! The Blue Sky was a great hotel if you want great service, but low cost.

Being massive foodies, we dined in the cutest little greek restaurants most nights and literally never had a bad meal... Apart from that one toastie we panic ordered hungover haha. You couldn't get fresher fish than when the waiter at The Reef said "Sorry we've not caught any sea bass today, but we do have dorado" (which was equally as delicious). Spending our mornings sunning ourselves by the pool, our afternoons exploring the cultural greek village and our evening's dining on the beach front - we literally could't of asked for anything more!

If you want a relaxing trip away, I would definitely recommend visiting Petra. Amazing food, great company and perfect weather - what more could you want?
